CENTER FOR APPLIED RESEARCH ON HEALTH BEHAVIOR AND HEALTH
(CARE – BEH)

Center for Applied Research on Health Behavior and Health (CARE-BEH) is a part of SWPS University, Wroclaw, Poland.
CARE-BEH was established in November 2013, and it is currently led by Prof. Aleksandra Luszczynska.

The primary aim of the CARE-BEH team is to develop and evaluate psychological interventions, aiming at behavior change. The second line of our research deals with psychosocial factors improving the quality of life of people with chronic diseases. Third, we investigate issues related to the implementation of programs (including policies and interventions) targeting obesity prevention.

Our mission is to conduct research of the highest quality, co-creating solutions with our partners and stakeholders representing young people, families, healthcare and education professionals, and policymakers.

We work in the area of the Pasteur quadrant of scientific discoveries, bridging the gap between basic science and practice.
