Prof. Ralf Schwarzer

Professor of Psychology at SWPS University and Professor Emeritus at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. He published more than 500 papers on the effects of psychological resources determining well-being and health behavior. Currently, Ralf is Editor in Chief of Applied Psychology: Health and Well-Being. He is Past-President of Stress and Anxiety Research Society (STAR), European Health Psychology Society (EHPS), and Health Psychology Division of International Association for Applied Psychology (IAAP). He received German Psychology Award and Award for Distinguished Scientific Contributions of IAAP.

Dr Karolina Horodyska

Doctor of Psychology, senior researcher at the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Wroclaw, an associate at the CARE-BEH. Her scientific work focuses on the determinants of healthy diet and physical activity and implementation of health promotion interventions and policies. Researcher and Post-doc in projects supported by national and European funding bodies. She completed an internship at the Priority Research Centre for Health Behaviour, the University of Newcastle, Australia.

Dr Anna Banik

Doctor of psychology, public health specialist. She is a postdoctoral researcher and co-investigator in national and European Commisson funded research projects. Her research field includes determinants of health behaviors, such as diet and physical activity, as well as predictors of quality of life of people with chronic diseases. She is Principal Investigator in a research project funded by National Science Center, Poland, which aims at identifying the role psychosocial determinants of physical activity in youth and adults. An author of several publications and conference presentations.

Dr Natalia Liszewska

Doctor of Psychology, graduate at the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities and MA in Sociology at the University of Wroclaw. Certified cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist. At CARE-BEH she runs research in the field of health psychology, family psychology (relations between children and parents in context of eating behaviors and physical activity). She lectures in the field of crisis intervention and psychological help and support. Natalia conducts therapy for individuals, families and couples, also supports people experiencing a psychological crisis.

Dr Karolina Zarychta

Doctor of Psychology and certified cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist. Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology, Health and Rehabilitation, and assistant professor at the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Wroclaw, an associate at the CARE-BEH. Certified evaluator of behavior change techniques. Author and reviewer of scientific publications, and Section Editor at Body Image in Eating and Weight Disorders. Her scientific work focuses on the determinants and consequences of healthy, unhealthy, and disordered eating. As a psychotherapist, she works with patients diagnosed with eating, affective, and anxiety disorders.

Professor of Educational Sciences, University of Wroclaw, Institute of Pedagogy, Wroclaw, Poland.
She is interested in breast cancer issues analyzed from a socio-pedagogical perspective. She cooperates with the Federation of Associations of Women with Breast Cancer “Amazonki”. Author and co-author of books on the situation of women after treatment of breast cancer, e.g., Życie od nowa: Społeczne zaangażowanie Amazonek-aktywnych pacjentek (with Krystyna Wechmann, 2016).
Professionally she deals with psychological and pedagogical counseling, multicultural counseling.

Dr Dominika Kwasnicka

Post-doctoral Research Fellow; her research makes three key contributions to the field of health psychology, by: (1) Integrating theories of behaviour-change maintenance, investigating key predictors of maintained health behaviour-change; (2) Testing and advancing these theoretical predictors in systematically-developed studies and evidence-based interventions focusing on diet, physical activity, and weight loss maintenance; (3) Contributing to the development of novel research methods employing upcoming designs such as within-person N-of-1 studies using emerging technologies. Dominika is an active member of EHPS, she is a Head Editor of the Practical Health Psychology Blog www.practicalhealthpsychology.com translated to 20 different languages.
